(More customer reviews)I am a long-time user of Coppertone's basic suntan lotion, now called Coppertone SPF 4. But then I noticed that it was no longer on store shelves. I checked numerous stores in and around my area, but it just wasn't there anymore. So what does one do in such a situation: go on-line.
I ordered a three bottle set from one of Amazon's retailers, only to wait for nearly a month before being told by the seller that the product was no longer available--you really have to be wary of some of the retailers.
So, back on-line, I found the three bottle set offered by the Amazon store. I ordered it, and it arrived promptly.
I use this variety of Coppertone more as a dry- or irritated-skin lotion. It is smooth, absorbs well, and rejuvinates the skin. Other Coppertone products might do the same thing, but I am leary of ultra-high SPFs; I have no legitimate reason to believe that they might contain higher concentrations of chemicals than the 4, but I don't want to take any chances. Besides, the 4, when used often and in profuse amounts, usually keeps me from burning in the sun.
If the product has indeed been discontinued, I for one will miss it.
